The works of Gabriele Donelli

  Donelli Gabriele work is characterized by the strong use of colour and line. Flat colour surfaces contrast with strong black lines. These lines in turn descibe without much detail the images which are depicted slightly deformed but still quite recognizable. The colour contrasts, I believe, are what it is very important in his work as he mostly centers his interest in developing interesting sensations with their help. He brings shapes all in one ground even when there is description of space. As for the subject matter it ranges from landscapes to human figures and sometimes comical images.
