Archemisio - pittore contemporaneo
I am a contemporary painter renowned for my hyperrealistic oil-on-canvas works, where I merge photographic precision with the dramatic use of light and shadow typical of Caravaggio. Raised in the streets of Rome, I was captivated from a young age by the Baroque masterpieces displayed in the city's churches and museums, cultivating a passion for the interplay of light and shadow and the emotional intensity of figures.
After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, I traveled across Europe and the United States, refining my hyperrealistic technique through the study of modern artists. However, my style is distinguished by its Caravaggesque heritage: my works capture minute details, from the wrinkles of the skin to reflections on objects, yet they are enveloped in a theatrical and directional light that sculpts the forms and creates an atmosphere rich with symbolism.
