Poetics
De Luca can be considered an artist 'protosurrealista', and incisive end the stretch, but mocking.
You can look for its roots in Klee and I think particularly his landscapes of the early years of his style research during his travels that recall the "Istanbul mosque with" the work of our painter.
As for his being so naive recalls Rousseau 'The customs officer' and the careful and scientific use of color seems to have been strongly influenced by the theories of Itten.
These masters with their soul and painting, being highly sought evolve in the mind of our artist, sliding here and there in a kind of landscape to Jugenstil mannered but very close to the simple but no less sought after masters of his works; then discovering that light is an element liberator and geometric modeler together until the consideration which order. The painting of De Luca seems able to penetrate with a look in the deepest of being his own and in that of all that is around him, that enters into the face of things, and of every living reality. From his paintings shows an unreal work emerging from secret loneliness, becoming living words tool, testing every possibility in a subtle matter expressed.
De Luca paints his works in a pictorial material breathing the magic of his subjects in their exile from the universe become fable evoking dreams, myths, nostalgia unreal. His landscapes express the true meaning of the symbol and have a liberated poetic and essential, composition, color, rhythmic counterpoint.
Klee says: "The art worthy of the name does not render the visible, but the invisible dissuggella the eyes. In its essence the painting easily and legitimately causes the abstract. The fantastic character mythical, what the eyes of imagination discerns, then is revealed; and it manifests a great accuracy. " Mindful of these words our artist creates with invisible eyes causing her painting to arouse enchantments and wonders, making a kind of mirror of dreams.
For the artist it is not wrong to define his art 'romantic', as it is sensitive to the crisis that afflicts the world; and actually she tries to make in his works his 'inner state', taking a proactive attitude towards the world.
In him abstraction and surrealism, clarity mathematics and unconscious labor are confused and are compensated, is the plot of a dense and delicate pictorial fabric, which is made in their meetings and in their harmony, their human reality and the cosmic, resolving in a spell of strictly poetic order.
