De Luca may be considered an artist 'protosurrealista', the end decisive, and the stretch, but mocking.
You can search for its roots in Klee and I think particularly for his landscapes of the early research of his style during his travels that recall the work "Istanbul mosque with" our painter.
As for his being so naive recalls Rousseau 'The guard' and the careful and scientific use of color seems to have been strongly influenced by the theories of Itten.
These masters with their soul and painting, being highly sought after evolving in the soul of our artist, sliding here and there in a sort of landscape to Jugenstil mannered but very close to the simple but no less exquisite works of its masters, discovering then that light is a deliverer and set up the account geometric modeler which order. De Luca's painting appears unable to penetrate a deeper look into his own being and that of everything around him, that enters into the face of things and of every living thing. From his paintings reveal a secret from surfacing works unreal solitude, becoming an instrument of living words, saggiandone every possibility in a subtle matter expressed.
De Luca paints his works in the paint breathing the magic of his subjects in their exile from the universe becomes fable evokes dreams, myths, unrealistic nostalgia. His landscapes express the true meaning of the symbol and have released a poetic and essential, composition, color, rhythmic counterpoint.
Klee declares: "The art worthy of the name does not make visible the invisible but dissuggella eyes. In its essence the painting legitimately and easily leads to the abstract. The great mythical character, what the discerning eye of the imagination, then it reveals, and manifests a high precision ". Mindful of these words our artist creates invisible eyes causing his painting to arouse wonder and enchantment, making them a kind of mirror of dreams.
For the artist it is not wrong to define his art 'romantic', as sensitive to the crisis that troubles the world, and actually tries to make his works in his 'inner being', taking a proactive attitude towards the world.
In his abstraction and surrealism, clarity and mathematical labor unconscious merge and compensate, the plot of a dense and delicate painting process, which consists in their meeting and their harmony, their reality and human cosmic, resulting in a spell of order strictly poetic.

De Luca si può considerare un’artista ‘protosurrealista’, fine ed incisivo il tratto, ma beffardo.
Si possono cercare le sue radici in Klee e penso soprattutto ai suoi paesaggi dei primi anni di ricerca del suo stile durante i suoi viaggi che ricordano l’opera “Istambul con moschea” del nostro pittore.
Per ciò che concerne il suo essere così naif  ricorda Rousseau ‘Il doganiere’ e  per l’attento e scientifico uso del colore sembra sia stato fortemente influenzato dalle teorie di Itten.
Questi maestri con la loro anima e pittura, essendo estremamente ricercati evolvono nell’animo del nostro artista, facendolo scivolare qua e là in una sorta di manierato paesaggio alla Jugenstil ma molto vicino alle semplici ma non per questo meno ricercate opere dei suoi maestri; scoprendo poi che la luce è un elemento liberatore e modellatore insieme fino alla considerazione geometrica quale ordine. La pittura di De Luca appare riesce a penetrare con uno sguardo nel più profondo dell’essere suo proprio ed in quello di tutto ciò che gli sta intorno, cioè entra nell’altro volto delle cose e di ogni realtà vivente. Dai suoi dipinti emerge un opera irreale affiorante da segrete solitudini, divenendo strumento di parole vive, saggiandone ogni possibilità dentro una sottile materia espressa.
