EX² (EX Squared) is a work that is based on two historical facts that have become obsolete over time.
The Man with the Golden helmet was attributed to Rembrandt. Until Jan Kelch in 1985 announced in Berlin that it was not painted by Rembrandt. Queen Beatrix, also a famous bearer of remarkable headgear, transferred being the head of state to her son Willem-Alexander in 2013.

Although both phenomena have been dethroned, the Man with the Golden helmet is still a masterpiece. In the hearts of many Beatrix is still their queen. EX² is in fact a multidimensional homage of Dutch cultural heritage.
