It's all about culture mix by maiwandOL...

This painting has very long history...More than 15 years ago, I went to my origin country Afghanistan for vacation, visited my brother and family...I saw a shop full of colors and more. They were making stores Logo painting and that kind of things...We found a picture in magazine and copied, made painting...I gave the lady in painting cigarette and styled the sky...I gave him 2000 rupis for his material and time, but 2000 rupis were lot of money in that time...Took the painting with mE, the whole family very excited...After much vacation, I decided to change many things in this painting, to be totally mE.. .It was too realistic, too classic and not modern enough...So I changed the face, I changed eyes, I changed the lips, I changed the hear style and I made it freaky and crazy by putting more life and Art in it ...And played with colors of my choice, so I made it master work of maiwandOL and God...maiwandOL 

In 2022 I thought finished, but when I went in 2023 for vocation again, saw that children played with it and hid my written name maiwandOL with black colors...So in 2023 I added more teeth brushes, which is my sign for harmony and called it finished...So it took me more than 15 years to call it finished...So I made more freaky, artistic, modern and crazy alive...maiwandOL 

That's why the prize is so high. 

But when I fly into another sky
