'Survival: Help me!

The world is in turmoil for both the humans and animals. We need to help each other and the survival of endangered species....

My ambition for this painting was to express the fatigue and plea of help in this gorilla's eyes whom I saw in a zoo - I believe I have achieved this. The background represents the fading natural environment of the beast and I added gold foil where the face glistened in the sun rays. Would the gold help or hinder the saving of the gorilla? Like the rhino horn.....
