Laura Sisti was born in Milan, a city full of contrasts and vitality that it’s by always her reference and comparison point.

She then moved to Merate in Brianza, where she learned to appreciate the slow life and nature.

The landscape is the first and natural expression in her artistic journey that has led her to a research for colors and forms which, without denying it, exceeds the representation of the reality.

Subsequently she attended the “ Free school of Nude” at the Academy of Brera and this has opened up in her a deep interest in the figure with a special focus on the world of women, rich and varied, where the woman is seen in her intimacy, but especially in her social and psychological condition.

A dualism can be seen in her works, detectable however, also in the technique used, which becomes expressive enrichment: the rural lanscape and rural life as a search for origins and serenity, the dynamics of metropolitan life as progress and hope for the future, but also the bearer of fragility and disharmony, and environmental and social issues.

In her career, by now thirty years, she has participated in numerous competitions and group shows in Milan, Bergamo, Lecco and province, obtaining various acknowledgments and awards.

She belongs to the group of 20 founding artists of the Association Artee20 in Merate (Lc)
