Roberta Baldi - pittore contemporaneo
Born in Puglia in March 1983, Roberta Baldi has been an art lover since her early childhood.
After attending the “E. Maccagnani” school of drawing and painting in Lecce, she studied psychology in Rome.
In 2010 she moved to Paris, where she perfected self-taught oil painting techniques, frequenting the ateliers of local artists, and participating in exhibitions and performative events in which figurative arts were put in a dialogue with music.
Initially she dedicated herself to figurative realism, searching in time for a more precise synthesis.
She currently lives and works in Rome.
Each one of her paintings begins with inspiration from lived experiences and events, chance encounters, and travels. Sometimes her artworks are stories, other times metaphors - to quote Umberto Eco, they are “opera aperta”, an open work.
