Nato in Losanna, Svizzera e cresciuto in un piccolo paese prealpino sulle alture del Lago Maggiore ho fatto in tempo a conoscere l'aspra  vita dei contadini di montagna appena dopo la seconda guerra mondiale. L'ambiente montano ad un tempo terreno di gioco e fonte di fatica ha plasmato il mio carattere e la mia sensibilità. Sono autodidatta e non ho seguito nessun percorso artistico anche se mi é sempre piaciuto disegnare. La tecnica a olio é quella che preferisco ma ho cominciato recentemente a usare colori acrilici. Ho anche pubblicato 3 libri (romanzi) con Simonelli Editore che però nulla hanno a che fare con la pittura, piuttosto hanno l'ambizione di essere divulgativi in vari campi tra cui quello scientifico che attiene alla mia professione di ricercatore nella quale mi sono occupato del legame fisiologico tra sistema immunitario e cervello.

Born in Lausanne, Switzerland I grew up in a small alpine village on the mountains that surround Lake Maggiore. There I could esperience the harsh, but also very natural, life that mountain farmers were used to live just after the second world war. Autodidact, I did not follow any painting course even if I always loved drawing landscapes or animals. Oil-painting is my preferred technique. Recently I published three popular books by Simonelli Editore that do not deal with painting but rather with vulgarization of science and of other topici. In fact I am a scientist and my field concerned the mutual physiological communication between the brain and the immune system.
