In questo quadro ho rappresentato due ballerini mentre si lasciano trasportare dalla musica e dal tango durante una milonga, in una piccola piazza di Buenos Aires.

Sembrano essere immobili dentro l’occhio di un ciclone, ballano ad occhi chiusi, nulla li turba, mentre tutto intorno a loro si muove, vibra, danza.

Tutto viene visto dalla loro prospettiva: un vortice intenso di passione che li fa volteggiare portandoli altrove.

Un punto di vista che rappresenta ed evidenzia, ancora una volta, l’intensità di questa splendida danza.

In this painting I represented two dancers as they let themselves be carried away by music and tango during a milonga, in a small square in Buenos Aires.

They seem to be motionless inside the eye of a storm, they dance with their eyes closed, nothing disturbs them, while everything around them moves, vibrates, dances.

Everything is seen from their perspective: an intense vortex of passion that whirls them around, taking them elsewhere.

A point of view that represents and highlights, once again, the intensity of this splendid dance.
