Between the work engraved on aluminum and the inner edge of the frame is located, on all sides, a space of 7 mm in width which creates a particular shadow effect. 
This arrangement creates an optical effect thanks to which the subject seems to lift up off the frame. The frame is solid wood black 31 mm, quite impressive.
