The artist Ellen Essen, hailing from southern Germany has been devoted to studying art history since a young age. However it was her relentless passion and curiosity towards painting, sculpture and architecture that nurtrured her cultural and spiritual growth.

Her involvment in the "women in rebirth" exhibition perfectlyaligns with her piece "Remorse", inspired by Marie Ebner-Eschenbach poem. The inspiration for this painting came from a screenshot from the television drama "Vincenzo", where the character played by Song Joong-Ki deeply impacted the artist's soul.
