Eternal Portraits:

The Profound Artistry of Ellen

When an artist creates a portrait she performs an important act, namely that of opening a window into eternity. The face of the person portrayed will remain for eternity, the artist gives that face immortality, blocks the hands of the clock, time is stopped and everything remains chained on the canvas. The portrait condenses emotions, gestures, looks that will remain imprinted forever, immobilized by colors and brushes. The face that Ellen portrays is of great impact, the colors that the artist uses are intense, they contrast with each other, giving life to a strongly balanced work. The face is characterized by lighter shades in the lateral areas, while the hair is dark and in the central area of the face the artist creates a shadow. Precisely the latter plays a fundamental role, since it is that gives a feeling of melancholy together with such an intense look. It becomes easy for the viewer to get lost in those eyes, through them a bond is created with the person portrayed, as if we were able to understand him, to peer into his soul. The artist gives us the great gift of empathy, it is thanks to her that we discover the ability to be empathetic, to be able to look into the eyes of a person we don’t know but to be able to grasp their feelings.

Each brushstroke is precise and calibrated, the colors appear pasty in some areas, while in others they are fluid and from this fluidity of color emerge which bring to mind the idea of melancholy, as the viewer is reminded of crying . Ellen’s work is of great aesthetic and emotional value, the artist allows us to come into contact with unique and strong emotions and sensations.
