Exhibition "Summer Solstice: Untold Stories" at Agora Gallery - New York from June 02-16, 2021
Maurizio D'Andrea's works, which are framed in the field of subjective romanticism and lyrical-informal abstractionism, analyze the inner world, question it, unmask it and immortalize it forever on canvas. Bright colors, rapid movements, feelings of intimacy, emotional rebellion and hope, push the viewer to escape from a world that is increasingly difficult to live through traditional values. Each work is a scream of his psyche, of his restless unconscious. His paintings often deal with social issues. Symbolic circles, hidden shapes and more or less visible signs represent for Maurizio D'Andrea his eye that looks, that follows the viewer and never stops to show him an escape route to free himself from suffering.
After having exhibited in the most important Italian cities, his "artistic consciences" will be exhibited in other important cities of world renown such as Tokyo, Amsterdam, Berlin, Monte Carlo and Zurich and have also landed in New York in the prestigious Agora Gallery.
