Soul of the Forest

Description

A face emerging from violet and lilac tones, set within a forest rendered in vertical strokes of acid green and yellow, beneath a fuchsia and purple mountain sky. The non-naturalistic palette turns the portrait into a dreamlike, almost shamanic figure: the intense gaze and dark, alive eyes remain the only "real" anchor within an otherwise suspended, fairy-tale setting. A work concerned with inner life rather than likeness.
