ICARIA
by Dilame
Description
Icaria is an island in the Aegean, named after Icarus when he came too close to the sun and the wax of his wings melted. When Dedalo descended on the island to bury his son, some birds mocked his grief with a joyful song. It was the partridges, birds named after Perdice, the nephew of Dedalo who killed him because he was better and smarter than him.
