Michelangelo's scream: "Why don't you speak?"

Michelangelo Buonarroti's Moses is one of the most famous works of the Italian Renaissance. The works were carried out between 1513 and 1515, for the tomb of Pope Julius II in the basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome. The statue is famous for the horn rays on Moses' head, apparently due to a translation error of the Bible written in Hebrew, and for a legend which tells that Michelangelo, once the sculpture was finished, was surprised by the strong realism of the biblical figure and shouted: "Why don't you speak?". Simultaneously striking the knee of the statue with a hammer.
