Reflections
by Olga Grasso
Description
Man has always been attracted by the magnetic charm of nature which, like mythological mermaids, enchants and dangerously pushes him beyond permissible boundaries. The beauty of fire, the one that gushes liquid, vivid and plastic from the underworld, merges with the other elements, in its ruinous descent, a steep inhospitable sciara as a surreal stage for enchanted spectators. The sea will welcome the tumult of such a ruthless force and everything is flooded with light and reflections. The moon competes with fire to those who most paint the surface of the water with vermilion and gold flashes; accomplices, clouds and smoke wisely smash the flashes on this tremendously bewitching night. It is not from the sirens that Ulysses has to look at himself but ... from his strongest desires.
