Description

After dedicating myself to the study of abstract portraits for a few years, I felt the need to return to figurative portraits to combine them with a greater expressive and abstract force. Each person is much more than what we can see with our eyes, they have their own inner motions, for example, they give off their own particular light and other characteristics that we need to know how to grasp.

Roberta made herself available to be photographed in various poses and with various lights, wearing one of her favorite dresses, I then chose the most interesting shot and studied the most suitable dimension and proportion for the canvas, helping me with the use of the computer .

It was made in almost a year of work, in my spare time and on weekends. Starting first with the figurative part, then adding the pale fluorescent orange background, the expressive recall background and finally the fluffy cotton inserts.
