YEAR 1970 - This painting, from my distant sixteenth year, speaks of my then already strong and deeply rooted passions. Now, as an older man, I see in it a strong, ever-present attraction to the surreal and the emotional energy it releases. For me, representation has never been merely pictorial, but a visionary, or rather, dreamlike, tale of the complexity of life's aspects.
