Will Art rebel to rise or will it degenerate?
Description
I started with a famous and ancient work of art to convey my message. I gave her my colors.
I used two different techniques.
Acrylics and an approximate and colored style to depict the side figures and snakes, as well as part of the lower limbs of Laocoon: a message of an art poisoned by the poisonous bite "of those who are satisfied", from the market and from critics.
Oils and classic, almost realistic style, for the head and hands of the one who fights and rebels (the Art), trying to emerge from the hard stone, to undo the poisoning, transforming first into ice (the blue) and then regaining color (rest of the body) to regain life.
Here, will Art be able to rise again or will it degenerate?
The small parchment contains two famous phrases from ancient Greece, translated here: "Everything flows" and "Life is short, art is long ...".
True! But only for art with a capital A!
