NUDA DI SCHIENA

"E’ il 1924, in un cortile assolato di Città del Messico la luce è abbagliante, il pavimento in lastre di pietra è caldo, Tina Modotti è distesa con gli occhi chiusi e la testa rivolta di lato mentre Edward Weston scatta NUDE”.

A 100 anni da questo scatto, voglio rendere omaggio, ancora una volta, a questa interessante intellettuale, attivista, attrice e fotografa italiana.

Nell’opera “Tina”, partendo dallo scatto NUDE, avevo rappresentato il soggetto focalizzandomi solo su una parte del suo corpo che giace a terra nudo.

In “Nuda di schiena” ho rappresentato Tina Modotti in un altro bellissimo scatto del fotografo Edward Weston, di cui è stata modella, musa e amante.

Qui Tina giace sdraiata a terra su un telo, di schiena.

100 years after this shot, I want to pay homage, once again, to this interesting Italian intellectual, activist, actress and photographer.

In the work "Tina", starting from the NUDE shot, I represented the subject by focusing only on a part of her body lying naked on the ground.

In “Nude from the back” I represented Tina Modotti in another beautiful shot by the photographer Edward Weston, of whom she was a model, muse and lover.

Here Tina lies lying on the ground on a sheet, on his back.
