Venetia
Description
In this picture entitled "Venetia, the Reflection", is the memory, the emotion, almost the dream, of this city loved by the artist. The inspiration came after a boat ride from the big canal to the central station, which allowed a different view of the squares and the square, an image that was well impressed in the mind of the artist and who decided to represent in this canvas. The materials used are very varied, with the use of acrylics, lacquers, spray paints, gypsum, sand, gel medium. The colors are quiet, with a predominance of blue, pink, blue and white. The buildings are well recognizable by clearly defined dark blue lines and arranged horizontally. Pink is summer, carefree. The wavy yellow lines that surround the canvas are the movement of water, with the reflections that turn and change the picture: the line dividing what is real from what is only reflected disappears and becomes one, in a mix of thoughts and lived lives. This is how "Venetia, the reflection" takes on a double meaning: the reflection of buildings on the water mirror and the reflection of thought in past images.
