"Berceau de l’humanité"

Mon œuvre "Berceau de l’humanité" représente le commencement de la vie transmise ensuite de génération en génération.

J’évoque la genèse avec le ventre en gestation de la créature originelle. Elle est vêtue d'un habit aux multiples nuances, décliné en un camaïeu de bleus qui symbolise sa sérénité envers l’avenir. 

J’ai volontairement décidé d’exposer un unique élément dépourvu du ton "bleu" : le fœtus peint en blanc… couleur incarnant la pureté, la sagesse et la paix que chaque génération future devra acquérir pour protéger l’humanité. 

Pour border l’ensemble du tableau, l’envelopper, un bleu caractéristique s’est imposé en moi comme une évidence : le "Bleu de Prusse". À mes yeux, aucun autre pigment ne s’identifiait autant à mon thème. 

En cherchant un "élixir de vie", le hasard a fait que le premier pigment synthétique soit né sous le nom de "Bleu de Berlin" nommé plus tard "Bleu de Prusse". L’autre particularité de ce pigment est d’être le seul utilisé pour la peinture et la médecine. 

Puisque ma créature incarne celle de la genèse de la vie, le bleu de Berlin reflète celle de la genèse des pigments synthétiques de l’ère moderne.

"Cradle of humanity"

My artwork "Cradle of humanity" represents the beginning of life, subsequently passed down from generation to generation.

I evoke genesis through the gestating womb of the original creature. It is dressed in a garment of multiple nuances, expressed in a monochrome of blues that symbolizes its serenity toward the future.

I deliberately decided to display a single element devoid of the "blue" tone: the fetus, painted in white… a color embodying the purity, wisdom, and peace that each future generation will need to cultivate to protect humanity.

To border the entire painting, to envelop it, a characteristic blue naturally imposed itself on me as an obvious choice: "Prussian Blue". In my eyes, no other pigment identified so deeply with my theme.

While searching for an "elixir of life", chance had it that the very first synthetic pigment was born under the name of "Berlin Blue", later renamed "Prussian Blue". Another unique characteristic of this pigment is that it is the only one used in both painting and medicine. 

Since my creature embodies the genesis of life, Berlin Blue mirrors the genesis of synthetic pigments in the modern era.
