Description

This is the first Animal portrait that i undertook, During lockdown i wanted to try something different so i started with an idea of portrait's on a wildlife theme.

Ok so why Clive and why the name, well although it was my hands, paintbrushes and oils i somehow can not take ownership of creating Clive, he was determined to be created on the canvas i have no recollection of bringing him to life, it was one of the rare occasions that the subjects demands on how they are to be brought into the light and born into this world on canvas for all to see. The look in his eyes and the half smirk follows you around the room almost with a cockiness that he is always right, Clive cannot be owned but he demands an audience and to be installed on a wall you loan his presence. this might seem like madness but when you see him face to face then it all makes sence, and why the name Clive well that's quite simple he named himself.
