Description
In my sculpture, acrylic and plaster intertwine to create a vulnerable yet powerful depiction of human resilience and interconnectedness. Relief-like black handprints symbolize the numerous sexual assaults the girl endured during childhood, while also representing the traces such experiences leave behind.
The artwork *Hear Us – Believe Us – You Are Not Alone* is a poignant portrayal of the painful reality of sexual assault.
It recounts an experience, sends a message to society, and calls for action.
It is a call for change and for the creation of a safer, more just world for everyone.
