Giulianart - contemporary paintress

Giulia Provenzale was born in Potenza on 10 June 1965. Her artistic talent manifested itself from an early age, at school. At the Scientific High School several works win school competitions and some end up in the studios of professionals in the city. The university choice favors another passion, that of languages, which leads Giuliana to study in Italy and Spain. Added to her studies are works that lead her to frequent intellectually stimulating environments, thanks to her acquaintance with European artists.

In painting he acquires the application of gesture and light (on canvas and other supports), but it is with color that he experiments and personalizes his style, with new materials and methodologies to be able to fully express his potential as an artist: l The use of unusual components such as make-up tricks, herbal teas, sand, stucco, multi-material mixtures, gives relief and consistency to strokes and brushstrokes, with surprising results.

Her favorite subject is the female universe, but she always remains attentive to the reality that surrounds her, painting everything that arouses emotions in her.

Continuous study is combined with the experimentation of various artistic techniques - in particular ink drawings, pencil and soft pastels, oil and acrylic painting, painting on wood and mixed media - while in the branch of artistic craftsmanship she begins to create elegant and unique accessories.

For years, Giuliana has accompanied her self-taught activity by attending courses and internships in painters' ateliers and participating in group exhibitions.
