Grazia Badari - contemporary paintress
Grazia Badari was born in Luzzara (Reggio E.Italia). He moved to work in Brescia where he remained until the 90s. Finally he returns to live near the great river (in Sailetto di Motteggiana), which is a source of inspiration for his works. Early, already from adolescence, he independently studied drawing and painting.
From 2,000 he attends artists' studios, including the September '89 group, then the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona, sculpture and engraving courses with the virgilian master Carlo Bertolini. In fact, next to the painting, but not less important, the Sculpture and the engraving.
His works demonstrate innovative techniques with mythological references.
He lives painting with great passion, like sculpture, looking for inspiration both from his land and from what is meaningful to her, like love for nature, but also the narration of life, such as "Infinite Spaces".
Starting from the figurative, abandons this kind, but not completely, never leaving portraits, for the abstract / informal in order to express its moods through the non-traditional use of color and through the exaltation of the material, ash and other, and of the gesture.
His paintings speak the language of "visual" poetry. It is thus part of a pictorial genre, which could more appropriately be called "poetic painting".
