‘Covid - 19’ is a series inspired by the Pandemic, which has been part of our lives for more than a year now. It focuses on themes like social distancing, the use of surgical masks for hours, lockdowns and the disposal of masks, which add to the tons of litter thrown out on the streets, parks, beaches or in the sea. Used masks were chosen in order to raise awareness on environmental problems and the importance of recycling. Furthermore, they help to damp down a necessary object, which has become of ordinary use. The target here is not the process or the technique, yet the message and the feelings that the canvas may arise.
