Ioa Nida - contemporary paintress
Ioana Axente (Ioa Nida) was born on December, 11th, 1976. She is a Romanian painter established in Bucharest.
With an academic background in applied mathematics, painting has always been a spiritual refuge and a restless passion. A few special encounters, such as the one with Silvia Onisa, an important Romanian painter and art teacher, pushed her towards artistic direction.
Between 2004 and 2007, she attended the School of Arts from Bucharest, with Florian Lucan as her coordinating teacher. Until 2024, she followed her passion in silence, more as a form of meditation and rediscovery, sometimes painting after working hours. Since May 2024, however, the desire to express her feelings through painting has become very strong, and art has become a habit again.
