The Art Of Red Umbrella - contemporary paintress

Irene was born amid the scents of spring οη a sunny April day in Loutraki, Corinthia,a wellvisited tourist resort. Although in her school years she was very good at Literature and Greek Language, becoming a writer herself had occurred to her only in her dreams, school essays being the only thing she had ever written. Growing up she chose a different path.

She studied Tourism Management in Heraklion Crete, Aesthetics - professional make-up in a private school in Athens, as well as "Body painting" & "Forum make-up for face and body" in Paris. For many years she had a highly successful career as a beauty consultant for CLINIQUE/ ESTEE LAUDER COMPANIES.

However, οn a rainy November day in 2012 everything changed. Her long-forgotten teenage dream came rushing in, demanding to come true. So, she was compelled to put pen to paper and her torrential inspiration led her to wonderful writing paths. 

She writes with a fountain pen.....she draws with a pencil....Inspired by the character of the heroes, she creates a series of sketches & images that give a new dimension to her stories.

Thus, her novels and fairy tales are set in a parallel reality. One reality is about words and the other about images.

She lives and continues her writing work in quaint, cosmopolitan Heraklion, Crete.
