Valentina Bucur was born in Moldova in 1983 and grew up in the post-soviet era, inheriting the obstacles placed upon her ancestors by the totalitarian regime and its repression of the arts and sciences. Valentina’s desire to express herself was consequently held back by the lack of criticality and opportunities to display her work. She came to Italy in 2006 and attended the Elettra Porfiri art school in Rome.
