She is the Hellenic goddess of hunting, wild animals, virgin land, births, virginity and maidens, who brought and relieved women's illnesses. Daughter of Zeus and Leto, twin sister of Apollo, and together with them she is part of the pantheon of the twelve Olympian gods.
