In this work, the following are very close to each other: belief and disbelief, which I interpret in symbolic language.
Can a simple woman, a human female being, conceive and give birth to a divine being sent by God, conceived only by the Holy Spirit, and then be praised as virgin and pure for all time, or is that exactly why faith is needed?

This work will encourage every viewer to think about it, to explore their belief or disbelief, to feel within themselves which of the symbols found in this picture make their own soul vibrate and in which feeling it is expressed. Our soul understands the symbolic language because it is stored in the subconscious, and anyone who is able to read it consciously will recognize that there are dark as well as light symbols in Marian symbolism, although I would like to note that only the light ones have been interpreted here.
God, Jesus Christ his Son and the Holy Spirit, these three characterize the Trinity in Christianity.
And here Mary takes on an important role, because she is a mediator, a direct connection to God, a connection to Jesus Christ his son, a witness to receiving through the Holy Spirit (Inspirit) with whom she is connected. She was visited by the angel who said: Hail, Mary, full of grace! (Ave Maria, gratia plena) Blessed are you among women.
Mary is perhaps more to be understood as an essential force, embodied as motherhood, embodied as the ability to receive, transform and release again, she symbolizes a bridge to other higher forces and powers that we humans often long for and hope for and count on.

Mary is venerated by many people, whether men or women, throughout all times and in many cultures.
Virgin Mary, Mother of God, the Untier of Knots, Mother Jesus Christ, Holy Mary, Madonna Mary, the Moon Goddess, or the Glorious Mother - she has many names.

I called my work "Ave Maria, gratia plena". Ave because it is a Latin greeting. And often, when I discover a symbol of the Virgin Mary and pass a Lady chapel, I greet her in this way. Ave Maria, I then say, and walk on with the feeling that I am in good company today. I then feel protected and protected, inspired and connected to the Highest. And I feel safe with that. Ave Maria is also a particularly beautiful song that I listen to very often and never get tired of. I am grateful to every singer who interprets it in their version. Ave Maria is also a widespread and very popular prayer. Think of the devotion to the three Hail Marys. It is said three times a day, and each of the three prayers addresses one of the attributes given to Mary by the Holy Trinity:
The power granted by God the Father.
The wisdom given by the Son.
The love and mercy of the Holy Spirit.

I interpreted Marian symbols using the encaustic technique, which is pigmented beeswax and is burned hot onto a surface.
Such symbols are, for example, the lily, the rose, the ladder to heaven, the golden city, the full moon, the morning star, the dove as a symbol of the holy spirit as well as peace and the message of life, the palm branch, the blue gate in the east, the lighthouse, the fountain and also the jug, Mary herself and her child Jesus, and much more...
The old Marian monograms are also interesting, as are the colors used. So I adopted the color blue used in Christianity, whereby during Mary's lifetime the color white was associated with mourning and the color red was used for purity and innocence. It was only in the late Middle Ages and with the advent of Christianity that artists were required to use the colors blue and white. Maybe it also has something to do with the fact that blue and gold were the most expensive colors, and credit where credit is due, the most expensive was just good enough for Maria.
For this reason, I also refined it with real gold leaf, apart from the noble base material beeswax.

Maria has accompanied me since I was a small child, although I can't explain to myself how this happened... I was raised by an atheist father and was allowed to develop my faith very freely. Yes, almost like an imaginary friend, she has accompanied me my entire life. Even though I have never been able to see her with my eyes, I know that she is always by my side, keeping her broad cloak over me and protecting everyone , heals when you ask for it, helps when there are knots to untie and with your mercy gives warmth and comfort to everyone who needs it. That's why I baptized my first-born daughter Janinia Maria. Today she is 26 years old and is similar to you in gentleness and love.

Ave Maria, gracia plena is a declaration of love and a thank you to my patron saint, companion, role model of virtues and higher strength,
and that I can always hope and count on, just like every other one of us humans.
