YEAR 1976 - Although done almost playfully, this drawing in pastels, both wax and plain, undoubtedly reflects the intense need I felt at that time to find my own path. My efforts were predominantly figurative, but as I was increasingly drawn to painting and taught myself by hanging out with friends who were also attending the academy, what I learned led me to various experiments and deeper, more expressive fields.
