"Cala Speranza"
Description
The hand of white man represents the great and powerful engine of humanity and the necessary solidarity among men. The hand grabs the hand of a child of color, migrant, and snatches of barbed wire, a fence which symbolizes the ghettos, the compulsion, the daily war faced by migrants. The rays of light in the upper right, radiate the scene and bring hope. "Cala Speranza"is a place that no longer exists on the island of Lampedusa, in this place, one day, maybe, migrants could live peacefully. The name becomes a metaphor for a positive and universal message. The image depicts a save and thus contains a message of spirituality and humanity education.
