Description

In the history of art, few motifs have been depicted as frequently and repeatedly over such long periods of time as the three graces. From the Middle Ages to the 18th century, the three goddesses were primarily known as an allegory of benevolence and friendship. In the 16th century, they also became a symbol of grace, the grace and persuasiveness that evoked favour and was regarded in art theory as the crowning quality of a perfect work of art. This is my interpretation of the Three Graces in the 21st century.
