This work, presented for the first time on the occasion of Ceddia's second solo exhibition, "Echi di eredità", is a tribute to Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel and is titled after one of her famous sayings: "Je ne fais pas la mode, je suis la mode" ("I do not make fashion, I am fashion"). To many, this statement seemed arrogant and conceited at the time, but it would most likely not have been perceived as such if it had been said by a man.

And this is how the author wanted to portray Gabrielle Chanel to the viewers: confident, bold, provocative, and fully aware of her talent. Her influence in the world of fashion and culture is undeniably enduring, and Chanel is deservedly considered one of the most important and innovative figures in the history of fashion, whose work continues to inspire designers and fashion enthusiasts worldwide.
