Lady with an ermine

Description

The "Lady with an ermine", one of the most famous paintings by the immense Leonardo da Vinci. There is a correspondence between the point of view of the young woman and the ermine; in fact, the animal seems to identify itself with the girl, for a subtle commonality of features, for the looks of the two, which are intense and at the same time candid. The lady seems to turn as if she were observing someone coming into the room, and at the same time she has the solemn imperturbability of an ancient statue. An imperceptible smile hovers on his lips.

Literally captured by the refinement of this painting of the inimitable Leonardo, I put myself to the test.

From 19 to 21 January 2018 "Lady with an ermine" is exhibited in Florence, in the halls of Palazzo Ximenes Panciatichi, on the occasion of the Primo Premio Internazionale Pitturiamo (Premio Internazionale Brunelleschi).
