​Description of the Work

​The painting captures the magical moment of awakening in Naples. In the foreground, a balcony with open windows acts as a threshold between the intimacy of the home and the infinite panorama. On this terrace, the human presence is suggested with sober elegance by a black table and chair, their dark, essential silhouettes cutting through the dawn light. Above the table, a moka pot and a cup await, symbols of a daily ritual consumed in solitude and contemplation.

​The gaze is then drawn to the background, where Vesuvius stands out like a silent giant against a spectacular sky. The color palette is an explosion of contrasts:

• ​The Sky: A nuanced transition from cool purple tones above, warming to a golden yellow-orange, and finally flaring to a vivid red on the horizon.
