Medusa‘s Cube

Description
I had to travel to Istanbul: In the historic district of Sultanahmet, very close to the world-famous Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, an almost inconspicuous entrance leads into the fascinating depths of Istanbul, where architecture and history enchant. Once at the bottom, a huge underground vault with countless columns opens up, bathed in a mystical light thanks to skilful lighting. Here you find yourself in a spectacular late antique cistern, the Cisterna Basilica (Turkish: Yerebatan Sarnici). This is the largest and most famous of Istanbul's underground cisterns from the time of the flourishing Constantinople. This is where I found her, my latest muse: Medusa. I wanted to give this monster with female facial features from Greek mythology a new appearance and body. She had to return to the 21st century in a new appearance: Medusa's Cube.
