Paganini's Scream! Painted by impressionist painter Claude Monet
Description
Paganini's Scream!
Legendary devil violinist painted by impressionist painter Claude Monet.
The chronicles of the time narrate that the virtuoso Paganini with his "cannon", was able to reproduce the song of birds and the cries of animals, as well as to imitate the sounds of some musical instruments (flute, trumpet and horn). In any case, his performances required an extraordinary commitment, not only did he improvise, but his executions were so violent that he often broke all the strings of the violin, except for the "G" string which alone was sufficient to reproduce most of the sounds and he damaged his fingertips, hence his famous refusal to grant an encore (Paganini does not repeat!) to the king of Sardinia, Carlo Felice.
