Behind My Brush: "Pink Flamingos"

​There are images that don't just pass before your eyes, but penetrate you and ask, almost insistently, to be told. That's what happened to me with this scene: an irrepressible desire to capture that moment and transfer it to my cardboard, interpreting it with my sensitivity.

​In this oil painting (42 x 47 cm), I wanted to recreate that suspended atmosphere that reigns when day gives way to evening. My flamingos are not just elegant birds, but silhouettes dancing in a body of water where the sky merges with the earth.

​I played with contrasts:

​The vibrant pink, which explodes like a last breath of sun.

​The deep blue and shades of gray, which bring the silence of the night.

​The full moon, a silent witness to this magical stillness.

 For me, painting means this: being moved by an image and translating that feeling into textured brushstrokes, letting the color speak for me. It's never a simple reproduction, but my way of experiencing and sharing an enchantment.
