Autumn ruins in Aprica
by Franco Volpi
Description
A bucolic and romantic view of the mountain. Ruins and huts built by ancient hands, in a continuous dialogue between man and nature. The reference to glimpses of life in the past, in the heart of a lush and welcoming nature. The absolute protagonist is light, which suddenly illuminates the overall image from the background. Like lighthouses that suddenly illuminate the scenery of a stage, the foliage of the trees comes alive with almost blinding autumnal tones, while suddenly the whole scene acquires vitality and harmony.
Autumn and its colours, atmospheres and emotions embroider a painting made up of short touches alternating with longer strokes, where the artist's hand moves like that of a musician on his instrument, with wisdom and delicacy.
