Nature, with its force, its energy, its power, is capable of generating a series of normally destructive phenomena that would not naturally be generated if there were not a powerful program that marks what will happen when one of these elements, considered the essence of what existing, is put into operation in a certain way.

FIRE 100x65 oil/canvas

The most spectacular fire that Nature produces on our planet is the one that comes out of a volcano. These lava eruptions come from the magma of the core of our planet that reaches up to 1200º and are expelled from its crater mixed with various gases and spreading ash around it. Given that at this time in November 2021 on the island of LA PALMA in the Canary Islands, after 50 days the different mouths of Cumbre Vieja are still roaring, I wanted to capture it in this work to represent the volcanic fire. But fire is essential for life because it is what gives heat, fundamentally that produced by the Sun.

This gas composed of Oxygen and Nitrogen, mainly, is subtle and invisible and we only perceive it when we lack it, and which helps us breathe and give us life, it also has its dangerous gestures, either by acquiring high circulation speeds when it becomes wind. , or when it rotates on itself in the case of tornadoes, whose destructive capacity is well known, especially in the areas where they occur more frequently such as the United States and Canada, where warm and humid air collide with dry and cold, two vital ingredients for the development of a tornado.

This element composed of Hydrogen and Oxygen is also essential for life and of which our body is composed up to between 60 and 90% depending on which organs and 70% that occupies the surface of the planet, although in terms of mass only It is 0.023% of the total mass.

As we see represented, when appropriate circumstances occur, the usual waves that are produced in the seas, by force of the winds, when an underwater disturbance intervenes such as those that include earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions or

meteorites, the waves can take on a gigantic size that destroys everything in their path.

We see, then, how the program contains all the possible variables and when some of them occur, these phenomena occur.

Although here we do not introduce a work dedicated to the fourth element “earth”, as can be seen, it is present in the three works that make up this triptych. The earth is the fundamental matter of the planet on which the other three elements are supported and thanks to which they exist, we are all on its surface, it produces our food, we live on it, we die and we are buried in it, on or under it.
