Description of the painting :

My painting "Cradle of mankind" represents the beginning of life passed down from generation to generation.

I evoke the genesis with the gestating belly of the original creature. She is dressed in a variation of blue which symbolizes her serenity for the future. In this artwork, I decided that only one element would not be in the tone of "blue". It is the white-painted fetus, a symbol of purity, wisdom and peace that each future generation will have to acquire in order to protect humanity. To border the whole, a single color imposed itself on me as an obvious : "Prussian blue". In my eyes, no other pigment identified so much with my theme.

While searching for an "elixir of life", chance gave rise to the first synthetic pigment under the name "Berlin blue" later named "Prussian blue". The other particularity of this pigment: it is the only one used for painting and medicine.

My creature being that of the genesis of life, Berlin blue that of the genesis of the synthetic pigments of the modern era.
