Description
A tetramorph is an iconographic representation of a set made up of four elements. The most widespread of these is Christian, which associates them with the four evangelists taken from Ezekiel, believing that he was inspired
by Babylonian zodiacal astrology (remember that when this prophet preached, the people of Israel were imprisoned in Mesopotamia, in the 6th century BC, in the hands of Nebuchadnezzar.
The tetramorph is also associated with the Zodiac, understanding that these were the constellations on which the spring equinox, the summer solstice, the autumn equinox and the winter solstice respectively took place between the fifth and third millennia BC.
The eagle
It has been associated with the figure of John, since his Gospel tries to characterize the highest and deepest part of Christ's thinking. It is the mystical gospel.
If we stick to the zodiac, the eagle represents Scorpio.
Considering the alchemical symbology, it represents air, intelligence, action.
Applying Egyptian symbology, the eagle would represent the solar falcon Horus.
