This work belongs to the PROGRAMMED UNIVERSE series.

We see that we have always been warring and so we continue. We change our clothing and weapons but we humans are still determined to wage war, for which we were programmed by the Mesopotamian gods and even in the 21st century AD we have not managed to deprogram ourselves.

Remembering Goya in one of his black paintings, I place the retrogrades who fight in the middle of the Universe where they are alone and small, tiny and incapable of coexisting, therefore it is something that humans have programmed, the fight, the struggle, the aggression, violence, war.

THE WAR Triptych

In the middle of the Universe, on planet Earth, two solitary men fight with swords in the Middle Ages, driven by that program of war, in that continuous fight "for God, for the Country and the King." The Universe can change or be reversed, as we can see with respect to the canvas of THE DUEL WITH STICKS, but humans do not change our fighting spirit, only our clothing and tools.

There are some pareidolias in the work and the most obvious corresponds to the spirit of a woman who dies as a result of the explosion and occupies its cloud.
