Thoughts by the Sea
by Antropoetico
Description
A man facing the sea, but with his mind elsewhere. His face, flushed with reds and pinks as if burned by the sun or by a thought that won't let go, emerges from a sunset sky painted with horizontal strokes of yellow, orange and black. Wide-open eyes and heavy brows stare at the viewer with restless intensity, while the moustache and tight lips hold back what remains unsaid.
The landscape is not a postcard: it is a state of mind. The sea becomes the backdrop for a stubborn thought, a melancholy that not even the horizon can dissolve.
Acrylic on canvas, 80x60 cm (31.5x23.6 in). Original, one-of-a-kind artwork, signed by the artist. Ready to hang.
